WALKING TOUR OPTION 1
Buda Castle Walk
Starting from the ‘Zero km stone’ (located at the bottom of the hill from where we will reach the historical town), we will see the Chain bridge and the Funicular train.
From there we will walk upstairs – it takes about 5-7 minutes and it’s the perfect time for a quick historical overview of Buda for a better understanding.
We will walk to Dísz tér (Parade square), the central part of the Castle district.
We will then get to the Royal Palace area – Office of the Prime minister, Office of the President, Funicular upper station and then back to the civic part, to Tóth Árpád sétány walking by the old Jewish quarter, telling the story of the medieval city. The tour will continue to the Szentháromság tér (Holy Trinity square) – center of the civic area – Matthias church, Fisherman’s bastion and the Holy Trinity monument.

WALKING TOUR OPTION 3
Jewish District Walk
The tour will start at Deák tér – edge of the old Pest and the surrounding city wall
and will continue to Király utca and its corner – Madách houses and Madách avenue.
From there we will reach Dohány street synagogue, the largest in Europe and its cemetery and Memorial Garden, Tree of Life. We will see Carl Lutz Memorial, Rumbach Sebestyén street synagogue and we will go back to Király utca to an abandoned ghetto wall.
After that, we will see Kazinczy utca synagogue and its surroundings, we will learn about
Mikveh – ritual bath.

WALKING TOUR OPTION 2
Old Pest Walk
This tour will start at Erzsébet tér – Andrássy avenue, from there we will walk to Saint Steven’s Basilica, walk by Zrínyi utca to Lánchíd.
We will walk to Vigadó tér, on the Danube Promenade, and we will end up at Vörösmarty tér, place of the Christmas market.
From there, we will walk by Váci utca, the shopping street and we will end up at Március 15. tér where we will see the ruins from the Roman times.
We will cross Erzsébet bridge, enjoying the view on Gellért hill and the Citadel.
We will be in front of the Flood monument. The tour will end at the Central Market hall and Szabadság bridge.

WALKING TOUR OPTION 4
The Good Old Days – Austro Hungarian Heritage
This tour will start at Hősök tere (Heroes square) – where we will see monuments and museums, we will have a walk in the City park and through the Vajdahunyad replica castle.
We will see and learn more about the Széchenyi thermal bath. From there, we will take the 1896 built metro to Opera and after that we will walk on the Andrássy avenue to Szabadság tér – passing by the Saint Stephen’s Basilica.
The tour will continue to the American Embassy, Soviet Memorial, Ronald Reagan, George Bush statues and Parliament building.
